A true masterpiece of 18th century Baroque architecture, Blenheim Palace delivers an awe-inspiring experience for visitors. Explore this World Heritage Site with over 2000 acres of 'Capability' Brown landscaped parkland and discover the Water Terraces, Rose Garden and Secret Garden. Day 3

Today we visit Chavenage House, a wonderful Elizabethan house of mellow-grey Cotswold stone and tiles. There are many interesting rooms housing tapestries, fine furniture, pictures and relics of the Cromwellian period. Chavenage has featured as a location for many films and TV programmes and most recently featured in the BBC's highly popular remake of the romantic saga 'Poldark'. A standard visit here includes a guided tour of the house.

On our VIP upscale visit, follow in famous footsteps as we are greeted by a member of the current family who owns the house and have a private out-of-hours guided tour to learn about the history of the house including the renowned tapestried Cromwell Room. After the tour we will be having tea and cake.

In the afternoon, we visit Cirencester, the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' and the second largest town in England during Roman times. Experience life in a real country market town full of Roman and medieval history full of tastefully restored courtyards, alleyways and lovely old streets with a large selection of independent shops and restaurants. Perhaps visit the Corinium Museum or step back in time at the Roman Amphitheatre before returning to the hotel.
