Tournai & Belgian Beer Festival

Tournai & Belgian Beer Festival

Visit historic Tournai during their annual beer festival

Book Now

Tournai is the oldest city in Belgium, with a history that stretches back 2000 years. We visit the city for its annual beer festival, where you can taste more than 100 Belgian beers and meet with their breweres in the historical heart of Tournai, the Cloth Hall in the Grand Place.

If you don't quite make it through all 100 beers, there's plenty of other attractions to explore. Close to the Cloth Hall is the 70 metre belfry, where 55 bells make up its beautiful chimes, symbolising the town's freedom. The very energetic can even climb the 257 steps to the top! Both the belfry and the stunning Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and at the latter you can see a number of treasures, including perfectly preserved clothing worn by Thomas Becket. Alternatively, there are plenty of quaint shops, restaurants and cafes, and museums and art galleries to explore at your leisure.

What's Included:
