Day 2

Spend time in this distinguished Roman walled city famous for its black and white buildings and imposing Cathedral with a fascinating history and packed with things to see and do. Rightly considered one of England's best preserved medieval cities, Chester still possesses much of its Roman walls and "The Rows" a two tier shopping gallery which dates from the Middle Ages and was probably the world's first shopping mall. Set upon the beautiful River Dee, Chester makes the perfect place for a relaxing day out.

Day 3

The Anderton Boat Lift, 'the Cathedral of Canals', is one of only two working boat lifts in the UK. It was in use for over 100 years until 1983. It was then restored and reopened in 2002 and is now a fascinating place to visit. Enjoy a river cruise with a difference, incorporating the boat lift vertically linking the River Weaver and the Trent & Mersey Canal

Day 4

Tour through the scenic beauty of North Wales including the spectacular Horseshoe Pass and the delightful setting of Llangollen tucked into the Dee Valley on the banks of the river. This popular Victorian holiday destination has an impressive 3000 year-old history stemming back to the Dark Ages and King Arthur.
